Post-operative instructions following endoscopic or open brow lift
First Week

• Apply cold compresses to the forehead — 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off in the first 48 hours.
• Expect numbness, tingling, or tightness in the forehead and scalp — this is normal.
• Temporary hair loss near incisions (telogen effluvium) can occur and usually resolves.
Scalp & Incision Care
• Incisions are hidden within the hairline or inside the scalp for endoscopic lifts.
• You may gently shampoo after 48 hours — use baby shampoo, rinse gently, pat dry.
• Sutures or staples are removed at 7–10 days.
• Avoid hair coloring, perming, or heat styling near incisions for 6–8 weeks.

• No strenuous activity, bending, or heavy lifting for 3–4 weeks.
• Avoid excessive facial expressions or grimacing for the first 2 weeks.
• Return to desk work: 1–2 weeks.
Healing
• Significant swelling: resolved by 3–4 weeks.
• Forehead sensation returns gradually over 3–6 months.
• Final brow position and result visible at 3–6 months.
